Chakra – what you need to know
Each person has what is called a life force energy and this is run by their chakra. It is said that the chakra is actually an axis point on the body that talks with that life force energy. Most people are not aware that the word chakra is actually a Sanskrit word. The meaning of the word is a sphere of mans aural energy or a constantly whirling wheel. Believe it or not, it is said that in the Hindu writing, you can find much more then 88,000 chakra points in your body but all of those points break down into a total of 7 main energy axis which go from the top of your head all the way to the base of your spine.
The seven main points of Chakrah include the crown chakra, the eye chakra, the throat chakra, the heart chakra, the stomach chakra, the navel chakra, as well as the base chakra. The main idea here is that these seven points take in the energy from the people around us as well as the environment around us. They transmit energies into the surroundings and also take in energy from the surroundings. So, these points all influence what we do everyday in terms of emotions, mental thinking, and spiritual activities.

It is believed that this is due to the chakras being connected to the endocrine glad that is found in our body. If a chakra gets off balance at all then we can have what is called a disturbance in the normal behavior of the endocrine gland and all that is attached or linked to it.
It is extremely important to attempt to maintain Chakra balance by using the above as a starting part. It is important that you realize all major illnesses are related to one of the seven main chakras. There may not be physical evidence yet of the illness, but emotions or worries from past events in our lives may still effect us today emotionally as well as spiritually.
One of the major causes of an imbalance in the chakra results from past emotional difficulties in a persons life. Many people have bad habits where they try and forget about bad feelings that they had about events previously in their life. These buried emotions release toxins that effect our bodies all the way down to the cellular level. This is why it is extremely important to come to terms with the events that have occurred in our life in order to heal ourselves through chakra.
There are certain things that are Good for our Body and promote Chakra Healing such as Reiki, aromatherapy, balancing of the chakras, color therapy and balancing with things like crystals, pendulums or gemstones.
Some people swear by doing yoga exercises to help with their physical being as well as their breathing. You can also try to visit the exercises which can help to balance their chakra.
Some other methods of Chakra healing include meditation. Meditation is the process of keeping the mind focused and visualizing certain things to relax. Often at times CDs can help promote the natural healing process through relaxing music and can harness the power of the mind to relax.
Even though you can not see or touch a chakra, they still work independently to keep our body in check.
Part of having a balanced chakras is feeding the human body properly. There are an array of foods that will help to maintain each specific major chakra.
Vegetables that are root type vegetables as well as protein-rich foods help to nourish the root chakra. You may be intrigued to know that the sexual and creative chakra works best on nuts, vanilla, sesame, as well as extremely sweet fruits such as pineapples and oranges. The stomach chakra is responsible for self confidence and self esteem. The stomach chakra is best nourished through eating carbohydrates as well as dairy products.
