Chakra – what you need to know

Each person has what is called a life force energy and this is run by their chakra. It is said that the chakra is actually an axis point on the body that talks with that life force energy. Most people are not aware that the word chakra is actually a Sanskrit word. The meaning of the word is a sphere of mans aural energy or a constantly whirling wheel. Believe it or not, it is said that in the Hindu writing, you can find much more then 88,000 chakra points in your body but all of those points break down into a total of 7 main energy axis which go from the top of your head all the way to the base of your spine.

These seven main chakra points are known as the root or base chakra, the sacral chakra, the solar plexus chakra, the heart chakra, the throat chakra, the third eye chakra and the crown chakra. These seven main chakras receive and transmit energy from the universe, as well as from other people. These influence all of the activities of the individuals, spiritual, emotional and physical.

Chakras have been described in several different ways, but all of these descriptions have one common characteristic. Whether it be from the Chinese medicinal point of view or the Hindu point of view these descriptions are all similar. It is the understanding of the experiences of people and the way that the human mind thinks and goes through different emotions.

This happens specifically because each one of the major chakra glands works with a specific endocrine gland within our bodies. If there is an imbalance in the function of a chakra this will effect our physical and emotional state of well being. It will also create a disturbance in the endocrine gland that is associated with that specific chakra.

This happens because each endocrine gland in our body is linked to one of the seven major chakras. If there is an imbalance of a chakra then it will effect a physical and emotional process that creates a disturbance in the behavior of the endocrine gland that it is specifically linked to.

You can safely say any major ailments or illnesses that your body may be suffering with can be related to an unbalanced chakra. It is important to maintain the proper chakra balance in order to keep your body functioning properly. Even though you may not see any physical attributes of an illness or an imbalance, you may see a difference in your emotions.

There are many people that say that one of the biggest issues with an unbalanced chakra is when people carry around emotional issues. Theses are generally from their past and in order for them to fix things they will need to address these issues to move on. This is something that many people do without being aware of it as these issues can be stored in their subconscious mind. If they leave these issues alone to fester they can get a build up of emotional toxins which can be harmful.

It is important that you understand that you can control your Chakras and also that you can directly influence each and everyone of your Chakras as well as their functions. You can do this by using an array of techniques such as Reiki healing, aromatherapy, color therapy, chakra balancing with the aid of a pendulum, crystals or gemstones.

Many people like taking yoga classes because it helps them to relax through controlled breathing as well as physical exercises. This can help to maintain the chakra balance within our bodies.

Some other ways that we can heal our Chakras include mediation as well as guided visualization. These techniques can help to reduce stress and harness the power of the mind.

Although we cannot see or feel our chakras, they work alone to help sustain our bodies in several ways.

In order for us to have a well balanced chakra line, we have to feed and take care of our bodies properly. There are certain foods that can help take care of your main chakras.

Root-type vegetables are extremely beneficial to our root chakra because they are very high in protein. It is a fact that the sexual and creative chakra needs sweet fruits, nuts, and even vanilla to function properly. Did you know that the plexus chakra is entirely responsible for increasing our self esteem? This chakra works best on carbohydrates like pastas and dairy products like yogurt.

Did you know that the heart chakra works the best on leafy vegetables and even many types of green tea? Also, the chakra of the throat needs lots of liquids to stay hydrated. The best liquids are water and even fruit juices such as apple and orange juice.

Your 3rd eye chakra thrives on grapes, wine and blueberries.

Our crown chakra, the center of our spiritual and emotional center needs detoxification through fasting and/or ritual inhalation of incense and herbs.

By always trying to keep our chakras healthy we are being healthy in general. By doing this this makes us become more in tune with our surroundings and helps with other elements with living in the metaphysical world that we live in.
