How To Use Chakra

The chakra is a point in the body that is associated with, and transmits the life force energy. The word 'chakra' comes from the sanskrit and literally means 'spinning wheel or sphere of energy'. It is traditionally believed by the Hindu's that there are nearly 90,000 chakra points in the human body. These however are reduced essentially to seven chakra points. These run along the spinal column from the base of the spine to the crown of the head.

These seven main chakra points are known as the root or base chakra, the sacral chakra, the solar plexus chakra, the heart chakra, the throat chakra, the third eye chakra and the crown chakra. These seven main chakras receive and transmit energy from the universe, as well as from other people. These influence all of the activities of the individuals, spiritual, emotional and physical.

There is one common characteristic that all of the descriptions of Chakras share. This common characteristic is that it is the mystical and spiritual understanding of a person's experiences or the modern understanding of the human thought process. This is what the Hindus think Chakras truly are.

It is said that since the chakras never stop moving, no matter whether a person is sleeping or if they are up moving around, they can greatly help our body as they stay in constant motion. They can help such things as physical disorders, glandular processes as well as the appearance and structure of our body. They can even influence the way we act and how we think. There are many people that say that one of the biggest issues with an unbalanced chakra is when people carry around emotional issues. Theses are generally from their past and in order for them to fix things they will need to address these issues to move on. This is something that many people do without being aware of it as these issues can be stored in their subconscious mind. If they leave these issues alone to fester they can get a build up of emotional toxins which can be harmful.

There are certain things that are Good for our Body and promote Chakra Healing such as Reiki, aromatherapy, balancing of the chakras, color therapy and balancing with things like crystals, pendulums or gemstones.

Some people swear by doing yoga exercises to help with their physical being as well as their breathing. You can also try to visit the exercises which can help to balance their chakra.

Some of the other methods used to heal a chakra are meditation which will help a person to keep their mind. Other methodologies of chakra healing are meditation (keeping the mind focused on an object of thought or awareness for a certain period of time), guided visualization (done with the aid of audio tapes or CDs to promote natural healing and relaxation techniques to reduce stress, promote relaxation and harness the power of the mind).

Even though you can not see or touch a chakra, they still work independently to keep our body in check.

The human body has to be healthy and fed properly in order for us to have balanced chakras. There are foods that help maintain the balance of each of the seven primary chakras.

Vegetables that are root type vegetables as well as protein-rich foods help to nourish the root chakra. You may be intrigued to know that the sexual and creative chakra works best on nuts, vanilla, sesame, as well as extremely sweet fruits such as pineapples and oranges. The stomach chakra is responsible for self confidence and self esteem. The stomach chakra is best nourished through eating carbohydrates as well as dairy products.
