Meditation is considered as a powerful form of self-realization and self-healing. There are various methods by which you can meditate, but perhaps, the most potent of all is the Chakra Meditation.
Introduction to Chakra Meditation
The meditation whose basic aim is to align the movement of all the seven primary Chakras in the body is termed as Chakra Meditation. Our body consists of 7 primary and over 20,000 secondary Chakras. For a better understanding of Chakra Meditation, it?s important to know what and where are the primary Chakras in the body:
*The Root, or base Chakra. This Chakra is located at the base of the spine and represents the element of Earth. The Root Chakra is responsible for our health, security and prosperity.
*Orange Chakra, also named as the Naval or Sacral Chakra, is positioned at the middle of abdomen. It is often linked to the ?Water' element, which normally governs our sexuality and feelings.
*Power Chakra. This chakra is also called Solar Plexus and lies on our abdomen just above the naval. This is related to the element fire which governs our metabolism. It also governs our will power and our self confidence.
*Heart Chakra is situated right at the center of the chest. It is related to the ?Air? element, which governs our feelings of love, compassion, and general relationships.
*Throat Chakra is positioned at the bottom of the throat. It is associated to the ?Sound' feature, which administers our uniqueness, communication capability, and tone.
*Brow Chakra governing your power of imagination, visualization, and interpretation is located between the brows on the forehead and related to the element ?Light?.
*Crown Chakra is located at the apex of human head. It is connected to the ?thought' component, which usually administers our intelligence, awareness and attentiveness.
You can calm the mind by focusing on these seven important energy centers and synchronizing them. This in turn will result in lower stress and greater contentment. Chakra Meditation can also help to heal any malady which is connected to these seven Chakras.
The synchronization of chakras promotes self healing of all physical and mental ailments.
Chakra Meditation involves three techniques in the following manner.
*Grounding Technique refers to the process whereby, your body feels connected with Earth. The visualization involves assuming a root growing from your body and entering into the Earth, thus, transfixing your body to the ground. With some intense focus and determination, you can achieve this state of Chakra Meditation.
*Centering ? this technique is intended to prepare you for the benefits which Chakra Meditation has to offer. Take a few (three to five ) deep breaths and visualize your entire body relaxing ? from the top of your head to your toes. The next step is to visualize a piece of pottery being centered on a pottery wheel.
*Relaxation method. The Relaxation method is the principal work in the entire Chakra Meditation procedure. Everybody has his or her own technique of entertainment. Just locate out your favored form of relaxing the body and attach to it.
Here is one of the most common methods of performing Chakra Meditation.
*Sit or lie down in a relaxed situation.
*Close your eyes and loosen your clothing. The idea is to be in a natural state without any kind of artificial compulsion on the body and mind.
*Take relaxing breaths ? neither too fast nor too slow. Just give up your control on the breath, and let it flow naturally.
*Become aware of each organ of your body from foot to the head. Feel the aura around you as well as your clothes. With your eyes shut visualize everything that you would have seen had your eyes been open. Visualize life in darkness!
*You may experience a wave of thoughts, fears, and every kind of emotion during this process. Don?t avoid them! This represents the release of stress-related thoughts. With practice and regular exercise, these negative emotions and feelings will disappear.
*Do not resist your awareness of any part of your body or things around you.
This exercise can be done at any time of the day and for any duration of time. However, the longer the better!
