For a better understanding of Chakra Meditation, it?s important to know what and where are the primary Chakras in the body:
*Root Chakra, also called the Base Chakra, is situated at the base of the spine. It is related to the ?Earth? element, which governs our overall health, security, and prosperity in life.
*Orange or Naval or Sacral Chakra located at the center of abdomen and related to the element ?Water?. It governs our emotions and sexuality.
*Solar Plexus governing your metabolism, autonomy and conviction is located just above the naval region and related to the element ?Fire?.
*Heart Chakra governing your general relationships, and feelings of love and compassion is located at the center of the chest and related to the element ?Air?.
*Throat Chakra governing your sense of creativity, resonance and communication skills is located at the base of the throat and related to the element ?Sound?.

Chakra Meditation Unleashed
Chakra Meditation involves three techniques in this order.
*Grounding Technique. This technique helps you achieve the feeling of oneness with the earth. Just imagine that there is a root growing out of the base of your spine and entering the earth. This technique requires high degree of mental concentration.
*Centering Technique refers to the process whereby, your body gets prepared to receive the benefits of Chakra Meditation. The actual step involves taking 3-5 deep breaths. And visualization involves the assumption of feeling of relaxation of every body part from toe to head by tightening and relaxing each body part starting from toe, and moving in the northwards direction, till the head. The final act is the visualization of the act of centering a pot on a pottery wheel.
*Relaxation ? this is the last step in Chakra Meditation. Everyone has their own ways of relaxing; there is no one right way, nor a wrong way to relax.
Here is a simple method of performing Chakra Meditation.
*Sit or lie down in a relaxed situation.
*Loosen all your clothing so that there is no tension on any part of the body, and close your eyes.
*Breathe in a relaxed manner, which should be neither too fast nor too slow. The idea is to give up the control on your breath, and let it flow naturally, but healthily.
*Just begin feeling each fraction of your body from toe to the head in that way. While you?re both eyes are closed, just feel the earth you are lying or sitting on, or the bed you are lying or sitting on, feel the atmosphere near around you, and feel the clothing you are wearing. Feel the whole lot you'd have had your both eyes been open. Now imagine the life in dark!
*Don?t resist any thought. Let any thought come and go without disturbing you.
*Be aware of each and every detail of your body and let your mind wander at will from one to another.
Chakra Meditation can be performed by anyone at convenient hours. There is no rule for the duration of time to perform Chakra Meditation. Suit your comfort levels!
