Each person has what is called a life force energy and this is run by their chakra. It is said that the chakra is actually an axis point on the body that talks with that life force energy. Most people are not aware that the word chakra is actually a Sanskrit word. The meaning of the word is a sphere of mans aural energy or a constantly whirling wheel.
It is traditionally believed by the Hindu’s that there are nearly 90,000 chakra points in the human body. These however are reduced essentially to seven chakra points. These run along the spinal column from the base of the spine to the crown of the head.
These seven points are the base chakra, the sex chakra, the solar plexus chakra, the chakrra of the heart, the chakra of the throat, the chakra of the brow, and lastly the crown chakra. These points on our body take in energy from the people in our environment and also transmit energy to the people in our environment. Therefore, they also influence us mentally, emotionally, and our daily activities including spiritual activities that we may do.
There are many people or organizations that have their own explanation but there is still one that keeps them all tied together. No one knows if it comes from the view point of Chinese medicine or how the study of psychology looks at it. Each person sees the balance of chakra in their own way where the unconscious and conscious process of thought takes place. It is said that the Hindus explanation is also another form of explaining the chakra.
It is said that since the chakras never stop moving, no matter whether a person is sleeping or if they are up moving around, they can greatly help our body as they stay in constant motion. They can help such things as physical disorders, glandular processes as well as the appearance and structure of our body. They can even influence the way we act and how we think. It is easy to see if one of the chakras are not working correctly, then we can have problems with the way our body is balanced and how it functions. The chakras can malfunction for many reasons but if one or more are not working right, we can have issues with the rest of our body.
The reason behind this is that each major chakra is associated with a specific endocrine gland within our body. An imbalance of any charkra affects the physical and emotional processes that exist within our bodies. Any type of disruption of the chakra can be linked through the endocrine gland it is associated with.
You can pretty much bet on that what ever ailments or conditions that you have, are related to the balance of the chakras in your body. It is very important for you too try to keep all of the chakras in balance. Some people do not see any physical; symptoms but they can see a change in their emotions.
There may be repressed memories or forgotten emotional baggage which comes form past traumatic experiences that can cause the chakras to be out of balance. We may actually be unaware of this, but the negative, emotional toxins have an effect at the cellular level.
It is very important for a person to learn how to deal with their emotional baggage or repressed memories so that they can balance out there chakra’s. This will let their body heal and get everything aligned.
You can help to keep your chakras balanced by doing such things as aroma therapy, color therapy, Reiki healing and you can even balance your chakras with the use of gemstones, a pendulum or crystals. You need to realize the importance of keeping a healthy balance in your chakras in order for your body to be working at its best.
The physical and breathing exercises can also be performed in the yoga sessions that are much significant in regulating the equilibrium of chakras.
Other methods include meditation to keep the thoughts focused and gain awareness in a specific amount of time. This can be obtained in a guidance CD or audio tape for enjoying the relaxation sessions and natural healings for reducing stress and manifesting mind power.
Chakras work without any help, though it cannot be felt with our touch or cannot be seen with our eyes.
In order for the chakras to be in equilibrium, the body must be nourished properly with food and relaxation so that it enjoys good health. The seven chakras have specific foods that nourish them more than others.
The root chakra works best with foods rich in protein, spices and root type vegetables. For the sacral chakra, nuts, vanilla, cinnamon, sweet fruits and seeds such as caraway and sesame are the best which enriches creativity. Breads, cereals, pasta, yogurt, dairy products and spicy mints nourish our stomach or solar plexus chakra enriching our sense of self esteem and self confidence.
Did you know that the heart chakra functions the best when you eat leafy vegetables such as cabbage and also functions great when you drink large quantities of green tea? The chakra of the throat needs to stay hydrated. Therefore, you must drink a lot of water and fruit juices like apple juice.
The brow or third eye chakra which develops our sharpness of third eye sight and inner depths of our own psychical gifts is nourished by consuming grapes, blueberries, grape juice and wine.
The crown chakra is the highest chakra – the chakra of spirituality is all about detoxification. Hence, traditional inhalation of herbs and incense and activities such as fasting works best towards that.
Thus we can improve our health as we stimulate our chakras. Doing so motivates us to be more responsive in our lives as we get tuned up to the surrounding auras of life and other elements affecting the physical and metaphysical environments we are living in.
