Chances are that you have heard the word chakra but you may be unclear as to what it is. This is actually the axis point in a person’s body that can communicate life force energy. The word chakra is actually a Sanskrit word. The definition of this word is that of a constant spinning wheel.
According to Hindu writings there are more than 88,000 chakra points within our body. The most essential of chakra points are those that are found along the spinal column and up to the crown of the head and are the seven chakra points.
The first one at the base of the spinal column is the root chakra, moving upwards we have the sex or navel chakra, the stomach or solar plexus chakra, the heart chakra, the throat chakra, the brow or third eye chakra and the crown chakra constituting the seven major chakras of the body. These major chakras focus on receiving and transmitting energy to and fro the cosmos or the universe influencing the spiritual, mystical, emotional, intellectual, corporeal and psychological activities of an individual.
Throughout history Chakras have been described several different ways, but most of these ways have one common characteristic. The Chinese medicinal description and even the Hindu interpretation have things in common. Chakra is the understanding of the way that the human mind thinks and the ways in which humans express and experience emotions in everyday life.
No matter if we are sleeping or awake the chakras are continually in motion. Our actions, deeds, glandular processes, structure, appearance and any physical disorders are influenced by this constant activity. An imbalance develops and then makes it known in other areas of our life or body when one or more of these chakras malfunctions for various reasons.
Many believe that this all happens because the chakras are part of the endocrine glad that is located inside your body. If you do not keep your chakras in balance then you will get what is known as a disturbance in this glad which will affect everything that is attached to it.
Chakra Balance Maintenance We can safely assume by using the point above as a starting place that for the most part our chakras are related to any type of ailment, illness of disease we may encounter. Although, we may not recognize the appearance of an illness or imbalance there are still concerns or emotional issues that result from our youth that can and will hold bearing on our emotional, physical and spiritual senses.
One of the biggest causes of chakra imbalance is the repressed or forgotten emotional baggage we carry due to those past traumatic experiences. Many individuals habitually bury their bad memories into their subconscious, unaware that these emotional toxins that are buried inside them will influence their bodies on a cellular level.
Thus it is essential to remove the emotional baggage from our minds in order to properly balance the chakras.
Thus, it ca be said that the human body deserves Chakra Healing. By making use of techniques such as colour therapy, aromatherapy, Reiki healing and balancing the chakras while using crystals, gemstones or a pendulum we can influence our chakras directly.
The physical and breathing exercises can also be performed in the yoga sessions that are much significant in regulating the equilibrium of chakras.
Other methods include meditation to keep the thoughts focused and gain awareness in a specific amount of time. This can be obtained in a guidance CD or audio tape for enjoying the relaxation sessions and natural healings for reducing stress and manifesting mind power.
It is true that we cannot physically see our chakras, but they are constantly working to maintain the human body.
In order for us to have a well balanced chakra line, we have to feed and take care of our bodies properly. There are certain foods that can help take care of your main chakras.
Root-type vegetables, protein-rich foods and spices nourish our root chakra. The sexual and creativity (sacral) chakra needs sweet fruits, nuts and cinnamon, vanilla, sesame and caraway seeds; the stomach/solar plexus chakra which is responsible for enhancing our self-confidence and self-love are can be nourished by eating breads, pastas, cereal, dairy products, yogurt and minty spices.
The heart chakra takes nourishment from green leafy vegetables and green tea. Tangy fruits like apples and peaches as well as the consumption of plenty of fruit juices and water aid in nourishing the throat chakra.
Eating grapes, blueberries, and drinking grape juice and wine helps to nourish the third eye chakra which is responsible for our psychic powers.
The crown chakra is the center of our emotion and spiritual needs. It is extremely important that you take care of the crown chakra by detoxifying through fasting and using herbs.
Thus we can improve our health as we stimulate our chakras. Doing so motivates us to be more responsive in our lives as we get tuned up to the surrounding auras of life and other elements affecting the physical and metaphysical environments we are living in.
