Each person has what is called a life force energy and this is run by their chakra. It is said that the chakra is actually an axis point on the body that talks with that life force energy. Most people are not aware that the word chakra is actually a Sanskrit word. The meaning of the word is a sphere of mans aural energy or a constantly whirling wheel.

Believe it or not, it is said that in the Hindu writing, you can find much more then 88,000 chakra points in your body but all of those points break down into a total of 7 main energy axis which go from the top of your head all the way to the base of your spine.

The seven chakras are the root, navel and solar plexus chakras, the heart, throat, and brow and crown chakras. The receiving and transmitting of energy from the surroundings, the individuals involved and other essential surrounding elements involves these chakra points. The mystical, spiritual, emotional, intellectual, corporeal and psychological issues of an individual are influenced by the activity of the chakras.

Whether you believe in the Hindu philosophies and doctrines of human body function explanations or the Chinese medicinal beliefs or even the modern psychological research findings, the energy points or the chakras are the common thread that would bind all explanations and definitions.

It is said that since the chakras never stop moving, no matter whether a person is sleeping or if they are up moving around, they can greatly help our body as they stay in constant motion. They can help such things as physical disorders, glandular processes as well as the appearance and structure of our body. They can even influence the way we act and how we think. It is easy to see if one of the chakras are not working correctly, then we can have problems with the way our body is balanced and how it functions. The chakras can malfunction for many reasons but if one or more are not working right, we can have issues with the rest of our body.

This happens because each endocrine gland in our body is linked to one of the seven major chakras. If there is an imbalance of a chakra then it will effect a physical and emotional process that creates a disturbance in the behavior of the endocrine gland that it is specifically linked to.

Contemplating with the Chakra Using the above as our point of beginning, we can safely presume that the major health ailments are due to the malfunctioning of the chakras and illnesses are concerned with imbalances in the endocrine system which indirectly affects the emotional system of our childhood that influence us spiritually, emotionally and physically.

One of the major causes of an imbalance in the chakra results from past emotional difficulties in a persons life. Many people have bad habits where they try and forget about bad feelings that they had about events previously in their life. These buried emotions release toxins that effect our bodies all the way down to the cellular level.

It is because of this that the need to resolve them is critical to attain proper chakra balance and to heal our physical self in the process.

It is important that you understand that you can control your Chakras and also that you can directly influence each and everyone of your Chakras as well as their functions. You can do this by using an array of techniques such as Reiki healing, aromatherapy, color therapy, chakra balancing with the aid of a pendulum, crystals or gemstones.

Some people would rather attend a yoga class to help maintain the balance of their chakras through physical exercises and controlled breathing.

Some of the other ways that you can heal your chakra are through meditation. This is where you can focus your minds on an object for a certain amount of time. It is important for good visualization which can be done through audio tapes and even CDs which will help with natural healing. You can try relaxation techniques which will help you to reduce stress and help you to get a better grip on things.

Even though you can not see or touch a chakra, they still work independently to keep our body in check.

The human body has to be healthy and fed properly in order for us to have balanced chakras. There are foods that help maintain the balance of each of the seven primary chakras.

The root chakra works best with foods rich in protein, spices and root type vegetables. For the sacral chakra, nuts, vanilla, cinnamon, sweet fruits and seeds such as caraway and sesame are the best which enriches creativity. Breads, cereals, pasta, yogurt, dairy products and spicy mints nourish our stomach or solar plexus chakra enriching our sense of self esteem and self confidence.

Did you know that the heart chakra functions the best when you eat leafy vegetables such as cabbage and also functions great when you drink large quantities of green tea? The chakra of the throat needs to stay hydrated. Therefore, you must drink a lot of water and fruit juices like apple juice.

Eating grapes, blueberries, and drinking grape juice and wine helps to nourish the third eye chakra which is responsible for our psychic powers.

Our crown chakra, the center of our spiritual and emotional center needs detoxification through fasting and/or ritual inhalation of incense and herbs.

We can develop our health through the stimulation of the chakras. Through this stimulation process one can inspire to be more responsive in their life as they get tuned up with the surroundings and with the side elements of the physical and metaphysical environment we live in.
